This is such a ‘blah’ move by the Bruins. Unfortunately I think we all saw this coming and I’m not thrilled about it. When I was bitching and moaning about the B’s at the end of the season I kept saying they need to borderline blow up the team and go in a new direction. Sweeney at the helm ensures much of the same. Claude’s coming back now too (probably). That’s not official or anything but I don’t see Sweeney firing him. Unless Sweeney can pull off some miracle roster moves I don’t see next season being any different from this season. They’ll get in the playoffs but they won’t be considered much of a threat. They fired Chiarelli but in reality they didn’t change anything philosophically and that’s what upsets me the most.
The disappointment of the B’s losing in 6 in the first round to the Habs next season even though we all know it’s coming is gonna suck.
