Would You Switch Lives With Charlie Weis?

Sportige Weis isn’t in a hurry to find a new job. Why should he? He made $2,054,744 for the reporting period of July 2013 through June 2014 according to Notre Dame’s federal tax return. He has been paid $14,857,379 already to not coach the Fighting Irish, already receiving four consecutive payments of the $2.05 million following the initial payment of $6,638,403 after his firing. By next Winter, he could end up getting up to a total of $18 million from the university for not doing anything.

They’re scheduled for “additional annual payments” through December 2015, so two more payments of what Weis received in the previous four years means his buyout money from the school would total $18,966,867. When Weis was fired from Kansas, he was still owed $5.63 million according to his contract, which will be paid monthly until December 31, 2016. He was fired on September 28, 2014.

Ok, so Charlie Weis basically hit the lottery. He gets tons of money for doing absolutely nothing. But would you want to be Charlie Weis? I feel like everyone is always like “ya so and so’s wicked rich” but do you ever take into consideration if you’d actually want to be that person? There’s basically one parameter:

You’d flip a switch and turn into Charlie Weis at whatever age you are. For instance, if I said yes I’d turn into 28 year old Charlie Weis and my life would go on exactly how his did from here on out.

I don’t think I’d do this. Sure, you’d live an awesome life winning Superbowls with the Pats, coaching college football and being a millionaire but you’d still be Charlie Weis. I can’t get over the fact that I’d need to live with a FUPA to accomplish those things. Riding around in a Rascal Scooter has kind of always been a goal of mine so I don’t mind that. But Charlie Weis is such a disgusting slob. I just think that being (literally) poor me is better than being rich Charlie Weis. Having shit loads of money is great but I think you still have to be somewhat of a normal dude to really enjoy said money. So as ridiculous as this sounds I’m picking the jobless, poor, wannabe blogger me over the rich, football coaching Charlie Weis. I think I’ve lost it.
