“Crimson Tide > Harvard Crimson” – This kid (probably)

DailymailA talented high school senior got into all eight Ivy League universities he applied to but he turned down all of them to accept a full ride at Alabama University because it will be cheaper.

Ronald Nelson also rejected offers from prestigious schools such as Stanford, Johns Hopkins, New York University, Vanderbilt, and Washington University in St. Louis.

Nelson will be attending the University of Alabama next fall because they offered him a full scholarship and admittance into their selective honors program.

Did Saban do it again or did Saban do it again? The rich just get richer. What a turn of events. All eight Ivies, Stanford, Vandy, but nope. Ronald Nelson pushed all those hats off the table and pulled a houndstooth fedora out of this back pocket and declared his allegiance to Saban Bama. Somewhere right now Urban Meyer is in some dorks living room trying to explain to his parents who he is and why their genius son needs to attend Ohio State for free. Gotta keep up with the Joneses.

But aside from Bama landing this monster recruit I think this may be the greatest heel turn in academic history. This is essentially Hogan at the Bash at the Beach. Nobody saw this coming. Harvard, Princeton and Yale must be devastated. Really their only response is to funnel billions into their football programs, move up to the top level and take everyone on head to head. It’s the only solution. Can’t wait! (Bart Scott).

ps – Sallie Mae is a real cunt. Kind of a smart move by this kid.
