Useful Info For Tonight’s Isles/Caps Game 7

First game 7 of the playoff season! Can you feel the electricity in the air??? I’ve basically adopted the Isle as my Eastern Conference team as a sign of my continued devotion to Johnny Boychuk but I also love watching them play. Their 4th line might be the most exciting line in hockey. So here’s some useful info for tonight’s game:

The last time these two teams met in a game 7 was in 1987 when the Isle won in the fourth OT

Ballgame’s Pick: Islanders In Regulation (+190)

I mentioned up top I’ve adopted the Isle but they’re just the better team. The game being played in DC means nothing. While Halak makes me nervous he’s historically played well in big spots and Holtby hasn’t. Tonight is part of the reason why a couple Dmen with Cup rings were brought in. I suspect both Boychuk and Leddy take it up to the next level and assure an Isle victory. And if all of that fails Gary Bettman worked for David Stern at one point and you know how good a Rangers/Islanders playoff series would be for the NHL…
