Pornhub Needs A Creative Director…Time To Throw My Hat In The Ring

pornhub ad1 Business InsiderThe adult video site Pornhub is planning its first ever national advertising campaign, and it’s asking the public to help.

Far from shying away from the limelight, the site is holding an open contest asking people to submit their best ideas for clever, safe-for-work advertising to run on television, in magazines, and on the Web. The winner will be awarded a one-year contract to be the site’s first creative director.

Well this is the biggest no brainer in the history of no brainers. Escape cube life AND work for Pornhub? Sign me up. So the ads need to be ok for mainstream media yet also convey what Pornhub is and also to entice people “use” their site. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far

(mind you these are just rough sketches, just letting the creative process unfold here)

Ad Directed towards both men and women:

This is my weakest ad. As a Creative Director you have to be willing to admit when you’re not at your best. But at the same time it conveys the idea of a routine and that you need to go to Pornhub every night or you’ll have nightmares.

Ad directed towards men:

Now we’re advertising! Never striking out with chicks…hitting “frozen ropes”. I think it’s pretty obvious what’s going on here. Plus young kids and old people will have no idea what this means. It’s perfect. And if you don’t know that frozen ropes is a euphemism for shooting loads well then you’re just not educated enough to be using Pornhub anyways.

Ad Directed towards women:

“Oh advertising porn to chicks, that’s impossible!” Yea, except for the fact that I just did it. Once again, subtle, yet sends a message.

All in all I think I’m well on my way to becoming the new Creative Director for Pornhub.
